The goal of our chapter is to try an raise as much money and awareness as possible by engaging in chartity events, fund-raisers, etc. "There are so many problems in the world that have no solution, but this has a solution, and we can be a part of the solution" Dr. McGee.

Ngan's Story
In my language, in Vietnamese, my name Thanh Ngan means "star." I was tarnished though, born into a family of three, with a cleft lip and a gaping hole in my palate. For the first three years of my life, I was living in shame and isolation in the small village of Quy Nhon province in southern Vietnam.
Hearing about the Operation Smile team coming to Danang in 2002, my whole family traveled for miles to see if they could help me. Though it was late on screening day, our efforts finally paid off - I was accepted for surgery. Now my star shines brightly and my future is as open to possibility as the heavens.
About Me
My name is Miluska, and the reason I got involved with Operation Smile is because I pesonally agree with Dr. McGee's message that we can be part of a solution and actually influence a child's life by simply providing awareness and helping raise money. It only takes $245 to sponsor a surgery that only takes two hours, and that alone is sufficient to change a child's life forever and give him/her the opportunity to smile!
